Linnet and I have had the pleasure of collaborating on numerous projects over the years—from photoshoots and videography to websites and social media content. She’s not only a close friend but also an incredibly talented creative, which made this particular shoot feel extra special.
Design Lotus is a unique brand, blending graphic design and business strategy with a strong focus on client needs. With such a wide range of services, it was important for us to create imagery that effectively showcased how the brand supports its clients throughout their journey. To achieve this, we carefully planned every detail of the shoot.
We chose a single location that offered a variety of distinct spaces, allowing us to work efficiently without needing to move around too much. To complement these spaces, we selected four different styling options that aligned with the mood and purpose of each area. This thoughtful pairing of location and styling helped bring out the multifaceted nature of Design Lotus
In each space, I asked Linnet to demonstrate a key aspect of her process: conceptualizing, visualizing, collaborating, and delivery. This approach allowed us to visually narrate the client journey, making it easy for potential clients to see themselves walking through the same process for their own branding needs.
As always, planning was crucial to the success of this shoot. By aligning the location, styling, and visual storytelling with the brand’s mission, we were able to create imagery that truly represents Design Lotus. One important element we included—which I now recommend for any brand shoot—was portraits of Linnet herself. These personal images are invaluable for platforms like her website, LinkedIn, and Instagram. More and more, clients want to connect with the person behind the brand. Sharing your story is important, and portraits help tell that story in a relatable and engaging way.
